quick preflop questions (2)
1) From under the gun, do you raise these hands: ATs, KQs, KQ ?
2) You have A6s on mp3. A 30vpip/10pfr UTG2 open limps, itīs folded to you. What do you do ? Thanks /Riku |

Re: quick preflop questions (2)
1) Yes, yes, usually
2) Totally dependent on the players behind you, all three options are reasonable but I usually don't fold |

ATs and KQs are definites, KQo more likely than not. 2) Depends on those behind me and the post-flop tendencies of the limper. Iso-raising here with A6s is fine too. |

Re: quick preflop questions (2)
1) Table conditions, at 0.05/.10 limit, mostly loose passives with a few tight players.
2) If the guys behind me are loose, just call in hopes for getting it multiway ? If not, consider iso-raising ? |

Re: quick preflop questions (2)
In that case raise in #1 although limping KQo isn't a serious mistake. The times where raising can become an error are on super tough tables, or tables where people limp a lot of hands for 1 bet but tend to play correctly against a raise (not so common online, comes up in B&M's)
For #2 you limp if the players behind you are loose/passive, raise if they're weak-tight, and fold if they're very tough (and possibly if they're LAGs and you won't necessarily know how to play against them OOP). |

Re: quick preflop questions (2)
#1 - I would raise with the suited ones, but limp with the KQ.
#2 - I'm probably limping unless I am pretty sure that the players behind me will not cold-call my raise without a big hand. If I can be reasonably sure they will fold, then I will raise here to buy the button and maybe get it heads up with the loose limper. - Spike |

Re: quick preflop questions (2)
1) From UTG: KQs yes, the two others no.
2) Call. Raising here is not a good idea b/c I think 10 pfr is quite a good thing. And: Since you dont know more about UTG2, any ace is only beat by A9+, not A6s. Aki Kaurismäki. |

Wow! You really raise with ATs UTG? [/ QUOTE ] It has more pre-flop equity than KQs which you were clearly in favor of raising... |
