Default 2 flopped sets

I'm trying to induce some action on these two hands. Not sure it worked out perfectly. Should I've done something different?

Hand1:

I often raise here preflop, but in this hand I thought I had couple of fishy passive players behind me, and I didn't want to scare them away.

The guy who raised behind me sat down very recently. He seemed to be a typical not so good player. Didn't know how aggressive he was at the time. (Aggressive enough to raise preflop at least). Since he made such a small raise I thought he might have something really good, AKs or QQ+ (typical play in these games). Tried to make a weakish bet to induce a big raise from a big pair/draw, also I didn't want to see him check behind me.

On the turn I didn't know if he had something so I made a smaller bet to suck him in with a big A.

On the river I had no idea how much to bet. I thought he might have an overpair which he decided to slowplay on the flop and got scared on the turn. Dunno...

What do you think of my bet sizes?

I felt bad for failing to stack him. :-(

Hand 2:

The preflop raiser here has something like 30/20 preflop. Rather aggressive postflop also. Although, I had seen him check many multiway flops, when he had hit them hard enough to call sizeable bets on later streets, before. Therefore I decided to bet out so he wouldn't check through with AQ or something. Tried to make my bet look weakish to induce a big raise, and possibly shut out the third player.
