Default The bluff call

Villian is completley unknown but the thought process goes as follows : if he's not strong enough to raise the turn his hand is not strong enough to jam the river therefore the purpose of his river bet is for me to fold, I also have not shown any significant strength during the hand so there's no reason for him to make such a large bet he must feel I am not strong enough to call. The only hands I figured that fit this type of play are 89 and J9

Thoughts?

No. An unknown lacks the balls for a stone-cold bluff. Reading a check-behind on the turn as pure weakness is a major leak, yo.

Edit: especially after he calls the flop. If he's bluffing it's likely with a low pair or AJ or something. This is badbad handreading. If you do this alot then I'm starting to doubt if you're the second coming of samo

Wow, I could never make this call. I guess it is one of those hands where he has nothing or the nuts. I think I need a read to consider this but I still never make the call. Very nice if you can make these calls profitably.

If he's rational then you're usually good. However if he were rational then he wouldn't play any hand this way.
