Default why do threads about new york get deleted?

thats my question- this morning i logged on to 2p2 opened up this forum- read the stickies with rules for the forum- did a search about the info. i was seeking- didn't find anything useful and then made a post asking about nyc cardrooms.
Now I know that these are illegal- I also know that they exist. If your going to mercilessly delete threads like these then you need to at least put it in the "dont post about" sticky.

and i dont understand what the big deal is anyway.

You read the stickies?

3. Posting information about cardrooms of dubious legality including but not limited to name, address or phone number ARE NOT ALLOWED unless you are an authorized representative of the cardroom.

ok my post in NO way broke that rule and i wasn't asking anyone to post any of that info.
and im not suprised that you would use a copout line like "not suprised" instead of explaining why its a big deal at all?????

yeah... that's a good idea... how about we print the name, address, phone number, and owner of every illegal card room in America.

Don't get me wrong... I don't think our government are run by Nazi's just yet... but I imagine that even your local sherrif would have to react if info was as easily available as logging on to 2p2.

ouzacprice ... I'm sure your a nice guy and all... but I'm guessing you've never been accused of being a criminal master-mind

holy crap i never asked any1 to post any information about a cardroom. i simply asked for someone to pm me some info. if they had any. whats the big deal in that?
No info. about location, phone number etc. ever had to be posted at all- nor did i ask for it. yall freak out over nothing.

I would understand if you would just put in one of the stickies "dont ask about underground cardrooms" but it doesn't say that anywhere...

"made a post asking about nyc cardrooms"

i.e. what games do they spread? what parts of town are they in? how shady are they?...all these questions could be answered without giving away any fragile information.
and your kidding yourself if you think any police department checks 2p2 for underground card game info. or any other type of criminal activity for that matter.
