Default Getting a coach.......recommendation?

I'm planning on getting a coach from 3-bet. I did some search on twoplustwo and seems like Big_Jim and Cero_z are good coaches. Anybody that have taken lessons that has some other suggestions for me?

Thanks.

i think those guys are all pretty good, but i think there might be better things for people like us to do than use an expensive coach at these levels.

Coaches are perfect for SSNL, IMO. The investment is perhaps large at the begining, but the knowledge you gain can be used to create a fortune.

You may want to try reading a bunch of posts and seeing if anybody stands out to you as giving clear explanations. Also, check that they are a consistent winning player for more than 100k hands. Obviously not everyone wants to be a coach, but you can also get people's AIM names this way and discuss less formally.

I did some coaching for sit and gos before. It went pretty well for both me and the guy I coached.

Also, don't go with someone who is really expensive. You'll be better off just reading posts.

a coach for $100/hour is a lot of money for SSNL someone playing 50 or 100nl, especially when it's designed to have 2 sessions/weeks. something like card runners is a lot cheaper, or finding a coach from SSNL rather than one of the big boys like he mentioned.

I hired jkrantz for about a 4 month period in the summer. He helped my game a lot, and eased the transition into MSNL. Now I feel that I've reached the point where I'm able to learn enough on my own, and by discussing hands with friends at similar levels. My best suggestion is to find someone who is at the same level as you and talk hands/strategy with them on a regular basis.
