Default 88 in a rough spot

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB (t3030)
UTG (t1850)
MP (t1340)
CO (t2730)
Hero (t3565)
SB (t985)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, CO raises to t150, Hero calls t150, SB raises to t985, 1 fold, CO calls t835, Hero ....?

Pot= t2170

CO is loose. He's making this raise with KJ+, Ax+, 33+.
SB is relatively solid. Much smaller range than CO.

I'm either in a race or way behind the SB. I'm not sure where I'm at vs. the CO. I am significantly better than the other players at the table.

That said, do I shove or fold?

Where's the tough spot? Did you forget to post another hand or something? Seriously hough you need to fold this. There's absolutely no need to get involved w/ a mediocre hand & CO calling. CO's call is actually QQ-AA quite often here. Otherwise people usually raise all in to isolate. Either way I'm folding.

Yeah, this is a fold, and then a fold.

I'd definitely call the first time around, but I play 6 mans. 9 mans can't be that much different where you actually fold to a CO raise w/ 88 6 handed here are they? I mean, you're kind of deep where you have set value here, and your hand is pretty good 6 handed.

With Jacks or tens I would have re-raised the 1st time around since we're 6 handed & he's raising in the CO. Therefore, I wouldn't get myslf in that spot. As played, jacks I'd push. Tens I might need a read but I'm thinking fold. I didn't check the buy-in either though.
