Default Chicago to New Buffalo in 50 minutes

There have been reports that if the Four Seasons Casino in New Buffalo,MI was built in Vegas it would be the second largest casino there. Yesterday I heard that Amtrak plans to run trains from Chicago.

I found this article, dated June 5 of this year. linky

From the article, the square footage for the casino will be 130,000 square feet.

From cheapovegas.com, The MGM Grand has 170,000 sq feet of gaming space, The Orleans has 142,000, and Mandalay Bay has 135,000, (this is not a complete ranking, I just spot checked some properties).

So according to that, Four Winds does not make the top 3, although its gaming space is larger than many spots, including Bellagio, Wynn, and even Caesars Palace.

If you talk hotel rooms, though, Four Winds is nowhere close.

Seventeen of the largest 20 hotels in the US are in Las Vegas, and those 17 all have more than 2,000 rooms.

According to the article, Four Winds plans to have 164.

No wonder they need the train.

Best thing about the New Buffalo joint, is the glee I will experience, when a certain (existing joint) takes a huge financial hit.
