Default Harrah\'s Rincon (San Diego) -- Reviews and comments appreciated

Anyone who has stayed there or played poker (or any casino games) what are your thoughts of the place?

We've stayed and played there many times. As a matter of fact it's a place we like to go back to again and again. The poker there is like anywhere else, you never know what you'll be up against. But the dealers are nice and knowledgable. They've had 3/6 4/8 LHE 1/2 NLHE and on occasion 2/5 NLHE

The rooms are nice and worth every penny you spend on them and that's not a lot. The casino area is nice and according to my girlfriend thet slots are loose. She put a dollar in a nickle machine to kill time while I went to the mens room. By the time I got out she had $100.

Pool area is nice and has a nice outside bar. In the summer time that place is pumping

It's a hike - it's outside of Escondido.

Glad to hear this. I play at Pechanga from time to time. How would you say it compares to Pech as far as the players go?

I'd say the action at Pechanga is looser. However I did win $2500 at Rincon's $200 2/5 NLHE table one night. People with money bet and call anything.

Yeah, I heard the NL game was good. Also heard some of the smaller limit games were nice... 3/6 etc. Have not played there yet though...

How do you like the casino itself? Pretty nice?

The poker room is small but nice and the staff is great. They spread 3/6 and 4/8 pretty much all the time with 1/2 NL going often but not all the time. Players are very bad. The rest of the casino/hotel is very nice. Good restaurants from what I hear although the only place I've tried myself is the chinese joint, which was good. If you're looking for higher limit poker or more game selection you are better off staying at Pechanga, although I hate that room because it just seems dirty and chaotic, but that's just me.

Dirty?? When was the last time you were there? Do you mean when it was downstairs? Maybe so, but since moving to the new casino area it's great. Don't know how it could be considered "dirty".
