(Annual?) Xmas Music Thread
I am compiling a CD of Xmas music to send to my friend stationed in Kuwait. Any suggestions? Here are the songs I currently have on my computer:
White Christmas (The Drifters) White Christmas (Otis Redding) Merry Christmas from the Family (Robert Earl Keen) Fairytail of New York (The Pogues) Blue Christmas (Elvis) Happy Xmas (War Is Over) (John Lennon) Feliz Navidad (Jose Feliciano) Please Come Home for Christmas (Bon Jovi) All I Want for Christmas Is You (Mariah Carey) Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) (U2) Christmas Vacation Theme (Mavis Staples) Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree (Brenda Lee) I Saw Momma Kissing Santa Claus (John Mellencamp) Santa Baby (Eartha Kitt) |

By the way, Otis Redding's rendition of White Christmas is the nuts. That dude could sing the phone book and it would sound good.

Re: (Annual?) Xmas Music Thread
I was overseas for Christmas a few years ago and there were some loudspeakers at the camp playing Christmas music. It was nice until "I'll be home for Christmas" came on. I'd recommend against that one.

Re: (Annual?) Xmas Music Thread
Not sure how much cred they have around here, but Onion AV Club ran an article about xmas tunes this week:
