Push fold is clearly better. Read dependent.

reviewing the HH, he had done this a few other times in random positions making a push the best move in hindsight i guess.

If your read is correct on MP1, then pushing preflop might be the best move. If no good read I fold this hand easily PF, and if I by misclick have called preflop, it's an instafold postflop. IMO

i agree with pretty much everything said above. you said villains done this in a few random positions before.

I would put him on a range marginally weaker than ours; ie AT/AJ being on the upper end of this. Personally, I like a push preflop here.
