Default Hand 2: (.25/.50 6 max) AQs on button 200 big blinds deep

Again, I’m at work so don’t have hand history, but it went something like this…

Villain (SB) $110
BB $50
UTG $50
MP $50
CO $50
Hero (Button) $100

Haven’t played much with Villain, he is a TAG, stats about 30/17/3 who has made a couple bluffs at big pots.

I have been playing TAG and been aggressive at his blinds, haven’t been caught making any moves, but the table has been weak so i have started to loosen up a bit and open more pots.

I have A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] on button

UTG fold
MP limp
CO fold
Hero raise to $2.25
Villain reraise to $5.75
BB fold

MP folds, I call. POT: $12.5

FLOP: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villain bets $9
Hero raises to $25 (again no hesitation)
Villain pushes. Hero? Preflop play? Hand ranges of villain here?

as played this is usually fold against straightforward player. Altho 30/17 is definetaly more LAG, his pf play is suspect. If he hasn't done that before, fine to give him credit for a hand IMO.

range: 77/99/AQ/KsQs/AsKs/KK/AA/air

QQ is in his range too.

This is an easy fold. You're too deep to call.

EDIT:
The more I think about it the more I like Villian's play here. It's SUPER hard to call. I think only AA, sets and JTs and two pair can call here. AA you probably would've reraised and JTs and two pair are a bit more rare since it's a reraised pot, but you are deep enough to play them. Sets kill him here, but this is actually a pretty good move I think. It's gutsy, I like it. I think this could actually be a +EV play as long as he plays sets the same way.

Hmm this looks familiar. Just call the flop.

If you plan to raise the flop against a LAG, you should have a plan for when he comes over the top.

This hand and hand 2 (link below)are actually the same hand (i changed a couple of things so it wasn't so obvious).

I am villain in this hand and hero in hand 1. I posted both sides because i thought we both played this hand bad. thanks for the advice

Results are irrelevant but, turn and river were blanks and KK stood up.

well picked up Jim "Hmmm this hand looks familiar" lol

I don't know why you raised the flop.

Do you really think the flush is very relevant in a reraised pot? Seems more like a good card to bluff on...

edited to add: oh snap, I wrote that before I read your reply above....

I'm curious which side were you actually on. KK or AQ?

General question: If the table is weak, why do You choose to make a stand against the strongest player at that table? That doesn't make any sense to me.

I would fold that hand, because I don't want to find out whether he has AA, KK or something else. Not for my entire stack, for the whole win of one session.
