Only read on chip leader was he had tripled up first hand overplaying some mid pair preflop, had made a couple other loose preflop calls to raises, but after that had been more or less silent. Is this line fine or ultra nitty? I feel any reraise is committing me here, and I'm not sure if chip leader is capable of laying down AQ, KQ to a push.

If he isn't laying down KQ then surely he calls with 77 too?

push this, you'll be way ahead of his range.

shove, if he's that loose he's calling with a range that you crush.
