This is the antithesis to Tuq's thread about regrets because a lot of the stories are depressing and I'm sure that most of us who have regrets are still pretty happy about a lot in our lives. Therefore, talk about the choices and happenstances in your lives that have worked out the best for you, those for which you have no regrets and are seriously glad you made them.

Deciding that integrity was worth keeping.
Giving a lot to disturbed foster children my family took into their home. Having the humility and good spirit necessary to have a gift for kids and animals. Enjoying language and reading a lot. Admitting I was wrong when I believed that was true, even when difficult, and apologizing and doing what I could to make amends. Striving to give people the benefit of the doubt until they prove me wrong. Persisting in martial arts despite having about every lack of talent and ability for it possible for someone not sick or disabled. Keeping the silly kid inside me alive. He cracks me up sometimes, and does me a lot of good. I'll really miss him if he ever leaves. OK, this is becoming a list and I'm not sure that's what it should be. |

Not scoring quick cash by going gay-4-pay. [/ QUOTE ] Had a door open in a Rolls Royce for me too one day. I was flat broke and prospects were very bleak and had been for a long time. Glad I kept walking. |
