How to play KK?
Just ITM in 20+2. 9-handed. Blinds 300/600 ante 50.
Im at the top 5 out of 50 with a stack of 28000 (little more than twice the average). UTG raises to 4150 and is all in. I´m next to act with KK. No ones got me covered, but theres 4 other players, with about 20K or more, to act behind me. What is best to do here? I had been raising and stealing a lot before the bubble burst and guess I´m being perceived as quite loose. |

Re: How to play KK?
I think I'm raising to 12000. If you flat-call you're likely to get more people in the hand than you bargained for. You could also make a case for just pushing since your image is loose, you may get a caller w/AK or a smaller pair.

Re: How to play KK?
You want to reraise, almost any reraise pot commits you, you have a loose image, etc.
Push because you want to raise, and even a minraise will make it like 8k when 20k is the next biggest stack, and if one of the 20k guys calls and pushes the flop, you'll be obligated to call anyway regardless of the flop texture. I'd just push it and be happy with the results. |

Re: How to play KK?
Agree with Seke. With stacks as they are, there's no reraise you can make that someone's going to flat call. They'll either push or fold. Get the chips in there, make it look like an isolation raise with a weaker hand, and crush anyone foolish enough to tag along with JJ or AK.

Re: How to play KK?
Yeah the early all in raise with an M of around 3 likely has a wide range of hands... would be nice to isolate against him. If you get called by AA you were probably going to lose most of your chips anyway. If you get called by QQ you're in good shape.
Push. |

Re: How to play KK?
This spot screams for a flat call. Why are we trying to isolate? We have KK and the blinds are/shortly will be high relative to stack sizes. Reverse implied odds should not be as much of a concern as they would be early or deep. We want action.
Well I guess the blinds arent as high as i originally thought, but I still say we want action. |

Just reading this thread's title and seeing how he wrote the post pissed me off.
For this reason I didn't read his question. |

[/ QUOTE ] evg, sometimes you are a dick... other times you are just an idiot. this is the latter. Conradas, Just ignore evg, he is the village idiot. Your question was a good one although I think that given your loose image this is an easy push as a push looks weaker than a raise to 10k-12k and a raise to 12k will pot commit most villains anyway as the avg is only 14k. I don't like a smooth call here because with your loose image your push should get called by 99+,AQ+ and maybe even lighter villain dependant |
