AKs, NFD reraised pot vs. shortish stack, a bit lost. 100NL
$100NL 6 handed
Button raises to $4 with $70. I cover I raise to $12.50 With AK [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Button calls Flop 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6x $25 pot VillaIn has $58 behind If i bet, i would usually pot this type of flop, but the pot is reraised pf, so is bigger than usual. Even if I bet 1/2 pot, that's $12 into $25 and any raise from villain pretty much commits him. I'm happy to get it in on the flop here, but i'd rather bet the one putting the last bet in, and i don't see how i can maximise FE here, so... ...I bet $50 (i.e. i push) Villain is new to table which has been quite aggressive to date standard, or am i way off base? |

Why would you want to maximize FE equity here. You flopped a monster.

Re: AKs, NFD reraised pot vs. shortish stack, a bit lost. 100NL
Betting 2x pot seems horrible here. I want to find a way to get my stack into this pot on the flop before I lose any equity from a blank turn. Bet/3 bet seems the best way here, if the villain will oblige. C/R AI might work as well. Villain probably has TT-QQ and will bet this flop or AK/AQ and isn't calling a bet but might bluff at it.
So cliff notes being: B/3B AI or C/R AI, any line but the one you took. |

I'm clearly happy to get the money in and it's better to do so on the flop than get 1/2 in on the flop and 1/2 on the turn but surely my EV in this spot grows as i improve my FE? |

Re: AKs, NFD reraised pot vs. shortish stack, a bit lost. 100NL
just open push.... a c/r AI will have him calling pretty much everything he bet with....
also someone said "why maximise FE here we have a monster" we are only 50% to win vs 99 on this flop by the river and each card that doesn't help us on the turn decreases our equity significantly. Folding out 50% of the pot is also very profitable for us. True |

crai is good but I think its better to just bet out because you showed so much strength preflop.
