Default (16) Call all in on bubble with 88?

PokerStars Tournament, Big Blind is t600 with t50 antes (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com

CO (t1470)
Button (t5920)
SB (t3615)
Hero (t2495)

Preflop: Hero is in BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="gray">CO folds</font>, <font color="red">Button raises to t5870 (All-in)</font>, <font color="gray">SB folds</font>,

Button is unknown, I don't think he's pushing 100% here but he's prob pushing a large range of hands.

This is an instacall or am I missing something ?

77 is probably close and 66 is a fold, imo.

I think 88 and above is the calling range for most people where you can start calling these at this stage. Most of the times you are going to be up against AK-A8s/2 overs/over connectors, but this is the race/pushbot stage anyways. If he has a premium hand AA-QQ/JJ then he wouldnt be shoving to steal the blinds, he would limp/minraise/3 bet raise to induce either a call or AI.
I'm not always right on my ranges, but am normally very close, if not on. This is also read/stat dependent but I believe this is a call.

Very close - If other players are good, then call. If they're too tight, or CO is showing that he is folding too often, you can fold and outlast until 3rd (which can work quite well at the $16s alot of the time)

If the bigstack is pushing most hands, the short stack will likely get AI next hand. I'm letting 77 go and maybe 88 as well.

call. this has a big potential to svck if you fold and the ss wins the next maniac push by big stack.

88 is probably as good as it gets for some time. And you dont have time to wait for a better hand.

If you win you will put a damper on big stack's pushing.
