It's hard to say if he is any good...probably a 3-4 starter; we don't have a big enough sample size of Japanese playes coming over (and vice versa) to get a solid translation going.

About as good of a bet as Lilly with more variance.

I'm sure the $25M bid is a reflection on the market set by the Matsuzaka bid, now how they actually value the two pitchers.
