HELP ME..Questions about Taj...

Okay its my first time gonig to AC, and my friend has a free room in at the Taj. A couple of questions...

1) The room is for Fri night.. i was wnodering if i slip the check in person a 20 or 40 do you think she can switch it to Sat night so this way we gamble Fri night and then check in Sat morning?

2) How far is the Taj from Borgata and Tropicana?

3) Is the action good enough(1-2 NL, maybe 2-4 Limit) that I dont need to travel to these two places?

4) Any good food places at the Taj..also where can i use my comps and [censored]...I saw the thread about tipping the floor to get free buffets...is that possible at the Taj?

1) Most likely not. Sat night comped rooms are almost impossible to get. You obviously have to throw some money around at the tables, or play 75+ or 150+ in the poker room. Also, Sat night is busier than Fri night. I don't know if the check in person has the power to transfer you over. I guess it won't hurt to ask, and show a 20 on top of your credit card, but don't count on it.

2) Driving: Taj to Trop, 5-10 minutes. Taj to Borgata, 10-15 minutes. Walking: Taj to Trop, ~30 minutes. Taj to Borgata, no.

3) 1/2 NL on a Fri/sat night will be great. 2/4 will be filled with all the 8 way preflop capped action you can handle. No one place is that much better than any other at this level.

4) Don't tip the floor to get comps. When you sit down, you give the floor your card and sign in. When you leave, you give the floor your card and sign out. You get $1/hr at 1/2 (I think), and .50/hr at 2/4 limit (again, I think). You can use your comps almost anywhere to eat. Upstairs is a decent snack bar for quick fried stuff, burgers, cheesesteaks, sandwiches, etc. I'd advise against the Bombay Cafe. Sultan's Feast (buffet) is decent, but overpriced. I like the noodle bar, which is $12-15 for an entree. Don't know about other restaurants there.

it's not happening. sorry. Sat night rooms are all booked way in advance by people with 10 times more money to burn.

Thanks... um.. I heard thta theres transportation that runs along the boardwalk ors treets to get from casino to casino?...

ALSO my friends were thinkngi of gongi to clubs..were all 21-22 anything you guys know about that wont get us stabbed?

The jitney will take you from casino to casino for $2. They run every five minutes at least. Take Jitney #1 to get from Taj to Trop (or anywhere else on the Boardwalk) and Jitney #2 to get from Taj to Borgata.

Actually, you can take the #1 or #2 between the Taj and the Trop. The #2 runs from Jackson Ave to the Showboat, and then goes up to the Marina area.
