Default Poker Ace, Part 2

Let me first admit to a limited skill set in all things related to computers and programs. For example, as of February 2006, I have yet to rescue the Princess in the first Mario Brothers game.

I went back to the Poker Ace site and -- this came as a surprise to me, but did you know that there are instructions on how to set the thing up? If you take the time to read them and not just start screwing around with the settings, the frigging thing actually works!

Not only that, but the information is actually useful, better yet, other people use it too!

I was at a table at PS and someone who sat down an only orbit or two ago called a raise from me because he said I was a "25 12."

I deduced the following: 1) he was using PA, 2) he discounted my blind-steal raise attempt because he knew I was semi-loose aggressive and 3) he has probably rescued the Princess.

Poker Ace, it really works. Go figure.

This is the first time I've heard of someone actually communicating to another player they were being rated. Poker Tracking software is no longer a bonus, its a must if you are going to play on line. I'm disapointed in my stats (VPIP way too high), but I am aggresively working on it.

I'm not really sure the point of this post nor why you posted it here.

I suspect I'm not the only guy using Tracker or Ace at Pokerstars, but to hear someone read out my stats to me was a little weird.

I previously posted that I thought Poker Ace was more trouble than it was worth, but I've reconsidered it.

It very rare that I'll have a hand interesting enough to post up here, so my posts tend to deal with more general topics.
