Default Why can\'t i beat this limit?

This specific question is about razz but really applies to everyone who plays poker. For some reason i absolutely cannot beat the 8/16 razz game on full tilt. In over 2500 hands at 8/16 im -$1066 which is 2.64BB/100 hands. What confuses me is that the players at this limit are not above my skill level. I have played over 2300 hands of 15/30, 1200 hands of 20/40, and 2100 hands of 30/60 and am a winning player at all these levels, averaging 1.59BB/100. Additionally, at 5/10 and below i have played over 10k hands and am averaging well over 3BB/100.

Have any of you experienced a similar situation where you cannot beat a specific limit but have no problem beating the game above that limit? Perhaps I just dont have a big enough sample size but every time i sit at 8/16 i seem to blow through a buyin rather quickly.

Any suggestions as to how to get over this problem? I am sure it is just a mental block but for some reason i cant get over it.

Thanks in advance,
Goldenad

Your sample size is not large enough to deduce anything.

In all of the above cases, your sample size is way too small to give you an accurate picture of reality. You could easily be a losing (or a winning) player at every one of those levels over time.

There are people that will tell you that even 100k hands aren't enough to get a good sample, which has caused a few arguements here. In any case, 2.5k certainly isn't enough.

Also, moving around from 5/10 - 30/60 is a BR disaster waiting to happen, which is probably the train issue mentioned earlier.
