if your going to raise with 66 from BB it need to be a little more like 600. You want to win it here and now. 66 post flop is hard to play. I like moving the small pp if theres more equity in the pot. If you check and take the flop you get off cheaper when you miss and get paid off better when you hit say Q6x.

PF - Raise more or check behind
Flop - c-bet this for sure, this is a pretty good flop for you and you should be able to take it down w/ a decent bet. Looking at stack sizes you may need to just push because a 1/2 pot c-bet is a large portion of your stack.

Considering this is early in the tournament, and both the button and the sb can both stack us, wouldn't calling and playing for the set be the better play?

Checking behind is not bad here but raising (if the raise is bigger like- 550-650) is also good.

As played I'm pushing this flop. I have one check in front and it's not a scary board for me. Anything less and I'm committed anyway.

Checking and playing for set value for free is the best option here.

As played - push flop and hope that nobody is either slowplaying big pockets (as $4.40 players prone to do) and that nobody hit a 9.

You are correct Mornelth. I misspoke - meant checked when I wrote called.

i ended up pushing this flop because i figured it wasnt a bad flop for 66 and i had still enough chips to push any overs out

i guess my mistake was preflop

thanks.
