Default Seau career over?

yahoo story

I watched the game, Belichick is stating an "arm injury" but his friggin arm was sideways. No way he comes back this season. He almost led the team in tackles this year, so will he be back for another? Is it worth it?

If NE can get him for cheap I would not be shocked if he is back

he was an effective player this year (and is out for the year btw).

a broken arm isn't anything like a torn knee or something that would slow him down or (I think) likely to happen again, so yeah I think he can be effective for another year. also I don't think this would require any grueling rehab, not beyond the normal lifting he normally does anyways.

it's just a matter of him wanting to play more. I hope he does, he seems like a classy guy.

I thought he seemed like a classy guy right up until he pulled that I'm retired....now I'm on your division rival stunt.

I read somewhere that San Diego was pushing him out, and it actually was classy for him to "retire" instead of pissing and moaning about the Chargers lack of loyalty.

That injury looked pretty bad.

yeah, what was the deal there? wiki says he was released in March, then retired in August. I guess he was at training camp but hadn't made the team yet when he retired?

He hasn't played for the chargers since 2002.

His agent obviously sucks for letting him take such a PR hit. If he had any interest in playing again he should have checked other teams interest before he made the announcement of retirement.

He did...his agent got back to him that no teams(that he was interested in) were interested in him as a starter.
then he decided just to hang em up..then NE came calling
