Default any recommendations for casinos in the san francisco area?

I'm making my first trip to San Francisco this week, and I'm looking for recommendations on what casinos have good poker in the area. I'll be downtown and will not have a car. I'm there two nights on a work trip.

I've read about the California Grand Casino, Cache Creek, and Thunder Valley.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Downtown without a car means it's either Lucky Chances, Artichoke Joe's, or Oaks Card Club.

Use search fxn for detailed info.

Lucky chances is a quick BART(train) ride away.

Bay Area: Lucky Chances is hands down the best room. Don't travel to Cache Creek, Thunder, or the Oaks; as you are traveling further to go to a less desirable property. You will find all the action you want/need at Lucky Chances. If you want to see a big room...go to Bay 101, it's only like 40 minutes south of SF, and again...PLENTY OF ACTION!

I had a great time at Lucky Chances on my last visit to SF. I was without a car and staying downtown as well and used BART to get to Colma and then used a taxi and the shuttle that they run to get there and back from the BART station.

Good action, bad players.

This thread is killing me.

I've had to go to the bay area twice in the last few weeks because my wife has a family member that got real sick and now we're going to the funeral. And there's just been a ton of sitting around the house time and I keep thinking that I'm just like 30 hour from action.

i'm just sick..

and I can't really play on my laptop..

There is no poker room at Thunder Valley. There is good action at Cache Creek, but the poker room is the worst one I have ever played in (on the main casino floor, very loud). As others have said, Lucky Chances is really your best option.

Goto Lucky Chances, AJ's and Oaks are pretty musty and rundown.
