Hi, all,
I'll be in Phoenix December 3 degenerating it up at Turf Paradise and the dog track before heading to Tucson that night. I'll be in Tucson until December 7 when I plan to head back to Phoenix for the night before flying out on December 8. Anyway, where do you suggest I eat/drink while in Tucson and that one night in Phoenix? Thanks... your guidance on Philadelphia back in October was most helpful. |

I'm sorry to hear about all the time you have to spend in Tucson.
I am off to a golf tournament, if nobody has helped w/r/t Phoenix I will try when I get back in ~6-12 hours. I know this place like the front of my callous-ridden left hand. |

Another option in Phoenix is the Ocean Club.
I guess it depends on what type of food/drink and atmosphere you're looking for. |

On the dinner front I'm looking for places that are unique to the area that I just have to try. I'd rather have a good one-of-a-kind Tucson experience than a great been-there-done-that steakhouse experience. I hope that makes sense.
On the bar front, I like meeting the locals. I don't really do the club scene (especially alone), but I like going out and being able to shoot the [censored] in a relaxed/cool atmosphere. Of course, eye candy is a huge plus. The stereotypical local Irish bar usually fits these bills, but hearing from the locals helps a lot. For Thursday night (12/7) in Phoenix is ASU campus worth checking out? I went to UA while in Tucson last year, and it was dead. Should I just eat at the Indian casinos before playing poker? LOL Lastly, there was this amazing Mexican place in Tucson that I tried last year, but I forget the name of it and don't remember anything about it's location. Thanks again... |

Also, if quality beer is what you want, make sure to check out Papago Brewing Co. at Scottsdale Rd. & McDowell. No chicks to speak of, but 30 beers on tap and the worst one is Guinness. They have about 1000 in bottles too. I'm married, so this one usually gets my vote, but if I were a young single guy, I'd be hitting Tempe bars.
