hero raises to 8, 2 calls. sb pushes. i make it 60$

with the dead money in the pot i canīt fold and donīt wanna invite anyone else right?

probably want to push more if you want to go for the iso play, like all-in

I think you gain the same result by just calling. The guys behind you need a monster to overcall/reraise after you call. If someone reraises behind you after you RR you've just wasted your buyin because you are toast, potcomitted and OOP.

If it goes call - reraise you can fold.

The only feasible option besides calling is pushing IMO. But I don't like that since the push chase out every hand you beat.

That is 100% completely wrong, the other players have already called a raise and with you just flat calling they are getting decent odds to play. A more accurate statement would be, there is less risk in just calling because we are going to be super tight.

Well, if someone just happened to cold call AA or KK (really the only callable hands here), then congrats.

Push 100%

first, ronald: if im calling here i basically calling for set value, and thats no good both stackwise and everything else

yeah the standard way to do it is to push ofcourse, although
when sb are so short and should have such a wide range for squeezing here. a push is a more obvious isolation play, ie my range widens with the push while it looks a lot narrower with this play no?

im asking this cause i got flamed the rest of buttons session for "forcing" him to fold qq...

do u think buttons calls more often when i push, than reraise?

Well perhaps it has something to do with my recent 1000BB downswing but I cant see why pushing is better.

- If someone calls your push/reraise you're 99% beat.

- If someone overcall your call you're probably beat. And if you're not you can play some poker and decide whether you get it allin on the flop or not.

- If someone reraise your call you're 99% beat and can get out.

*Edit* If you got him to lay down QQ, well done. I sure would have come over the top of you w QQ+

i think this is too weak and probably influenced by your running

overcall- i cant really play poker oop with 80 left in a 120+ pot

push/raise- if they got kk aa behind me and were trapping me, well nh them. qq jj have a though time calling me but might (see other post). ak aq i really want to fold out cause they actually make a mistake folding here, no?

88, 99 are out anyways, i donīt think i get anymore from them on flop unless they improve.

maybe you're right. I'm usually aggro as hell :-) But the fact that 2 people cold called your first raise scares the sh*t out of me. I might even fold to sb:s allin bc of that :-/
