Default A beat to a lot of people...50 dollar bills.

I haven't been convinced of this bad luck charm yet but a few of my friends wont even touch a 50 dollar bill and I think a lot of people in the gambling world are the same way...so it makes me curious how they'd handle the situation that happened to me over thanksgiving.

We celebrate x-mas with one side of my family over thanksgiving and my grandma placed a 50 dollar bill in front of me while I was talking to my mom and said something like find something fun to buy. I said thanks and had no problem putting it in my wallet.

For those of you that truly don't want anything to do with 50 dollar bills, would you really say something/make a deal about it or just suck it up cause it's grandma.

I'd take it and frame it! I'm pretty sure I see a lot more twos than fifties.

i prefer two twenties and a ten, but i can handle fifties as long as they're far away from my poker monies.

if i'm paying for something that costs $10 and i have a $10 and a $50 in my wallet, i'm getting rid of the $50.

i tend to get a lot of 50s in europe though, and it doesn't bother me. (does a 100 euro bill even exist? i don't think i've seen one)

Yeah, but they're nowhere near as common, much like the american 50!

Definitions of rude on the Web:

* ill-mannered: socially incorrect in behavior; "resentment flared at such an unmannered intrusion"
* ill-bred: (of persons) lacking in refinement or grace
* uncivil: lacking civility or good manners; "want nothing from you but to get away from your uncivil tongue"- Willa Cather

whats the deal with $50's anyway? why would they be bad luck? and shouldnt non-retarded poker players be exempt from silly superstition?
