Default 1/2 stars KK flop balderdash

Villain is tightish, not crazy ... probably plays 4-6 tables, probably a reg, probably not a 2+2er

Game is 5 handed. Effective stacks $215.

I raise UTG to $7. Button calls me.

Flop ($17) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet $13. He minraises to $26. I pop back to $66. He pops back to $106 (Minraise again).

He has $90 behind.

Had he called my bet, I'd lead all in on most turns.

Thoughts about my plan and play?

(Note: I have been playing conservative)

Why would you ever 3 bet this flop against a good player? As played it's the easiest turbo muck ever after he minreraises you. Calling his minraise and leading turn is sooo much better than the line you took.

what are we leading for? I'm afraid if we don't lead strong he'll push with a J as a bluff possibly...

I hate to let him get to turn so cheap. When he raises like that, I think I'm pretty satisfied with the info I get here ... It's really rarely a draw or a bluff IMO, so I can safely fold.

Am I wrong here? Some more opinions?
