Default CO steal, can\'t shake this guy, river donk

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.10/$0.25
9 players
Converter

Villain was solid in the short time we were at the table, and I had not seen him show down any hands, or get caught out of line.

Nothing seems to fit here. I didn't think he would call me to the river, just to bluff at the 3. So I thought I was beat and folded. Is a set or something likely or did I give away half/whole pot?

Stack sizes:
UTG: $24.65
UTG+1: $16.90
MP1: $48.50
MP2: $22.65
MP3: $32.15
Hero: $25.15
Button: $24.65
SB: $21.50
BB: $25

Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
5 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $0.75</font>, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($1.75, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $1.25</font>, SB calls.

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($4.25, 2 players)
SB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $2.75</font>, SB calls.

River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($9.75, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $5</font>, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $5 returned to SB.

Results:
Final pot: $9.75

flop bet is given, turn could go either way.
I think the river is a fold, no biggie

I thought about that, but I bet with the intention of checking behind on the river.

I bet the turn for value/protect my hand sort of thing. I was pretty sure villain did not have me on top pair on the flop. This is why I am confused. I can't seem to figure out if he thinks I whiffed and is bluffing, or if he has a hand and wants to get value from it.

I'm curious as to what types of hands make this type of play on this board?

I'm thinking very strong or very weak hands, but not much in between.
