Lease up on my Audi RS6
What to do?
This car is so balla, but when there are issues I don't have it for weeks. Last time the torque converter went out and they had to take the engine and tranny out and then put it back together. 5 weeks. crazy. anyway, im very right-side-up on this lease and it seems a +EV no brainer to purchase the car. thoughts? |

Re: Lease up on my Audi RS6
that's a nice problem to have, haha.
how long would you want to own it, before the risk of high repair bills gets too high? how long is the extended warranty? i don't trust these new high-tech performance cars to own. you've got a high output, lotsa valve twin turbo engine with 8 cylinders, a complicated all-wheel drive system, computers monitoring wheels speeds, engine parameteres, driver inputs, plus i bet the thing has stuff like 10-way power adjustable seats with heaters too! front and back? i see a lot of very expensive things to fail, after being driven hard for a number of years. it might be just stupid crap, but the number of bells and whistles on that car is astounding. but if you can afford an RS6 in the first place, you can probably afford the problems and depreciation. bad-ass car, buy it. |

If you have equity, sell it back to the dealer.

The whole point of a lease, at least in my opinion, is to get a new car every 2 to 3 years. Also, your car is covered for all of the maintenance during that same timeframe. I think anyone who buys a benz these days has to be crazy. Too many problems. Not as much for BMW or AUDI, but they still have their own problems. That is why I recommend a lease for these type of cars. |

Re: Lease up on my Audi RS6
Hey doc, what was your lease payment? How long (39 months?), how many miles/year? My S4 is up soon and I'm considering an RS4 and an RS6. Thanks.
