Using gametime+ to display data stored on another pc
I posted this in the software forum with no replies, so i'm posting here to try and get an answer.
Basically, I have two machines networked together, and although i normally play poker on the machine with pokertracker and gametime+ installed locally, i sometimes play on the other pc (a laptop). How can i get gametime+ (installed on the laptop) to display the player data stored in the pokertracker db on my other machine? I cant find any option to "point" it manually to a database. I've fileshared the pokertracker folder so the laptop can access it, i just need to know how to tell gametime+ to look in that folder for databases. Thanks, Steve |

Re: Using gametime+ to display data stored on another pc
how are the machines networked? because if you are trying to do this over a wireless connection, it won't be fast enough to handle the ODBC traffic properly.
get PokerAce and use PokerTrackers Postgres SQL capabilities if you want to use remote DBs efficiently. |

I remember seeing a detailed post about this in the software forum... finding it in a search, that's a whole other problem.

Re: Using gametime+ to display data stored on another pc
Check out the forums at pokertracker.com. There's a postgreSQL forum there that should be a big help. You'll need to change the database to postgreSQL format, and have a registered copy of PT on your laptop in order to use gametime+. I have nearly the same setup, but my database is stored on a computer running linux. My laptop is running wireless (802.11a). I haven't had a problem downloading or uploading information through my wireless connection, but I'm running 2 tables at best. Good luck with your setup...
