Cell Phones @ Atlantis

Can someone last year clear up whether cell phones work and how reliably at atlantis? i have verizon wireless internet with a booster antenna and hoping to use it there.

Verizon didn't work on the last two trips, nor highspeed itnernet away from the lobbies.

Until I read Daryn's post, I thought I was the only person at Atlantis last year whose cell phone worked. I have T-Mobile also, and use a HP IPAQ phone. My wife's cell phone, also on T-Mobile, did not work. Also, the calls I made were about $3/minute, as the Bahamian cell company rips you off. If you're desperate for a cell phone, it might be cheaper to rent a local phone during the trip.

no, coral is where the action happens.

i upgraded to royal last year and got a room at the very back end of the building overlooking the construction work.

stick with a room in the coral imo, you're way closer to most of the stuff you will be interested in.

When we were just in Canada, we had [censored] verizon service (although it technically worked) and they charge extra monies 4 outta da country, unless theres a diff package f/ VZ i dont know about.

Anyone know if we can get weed up there? Like is it pretty easy to obtain?
