BBV: Dad bowls in first PBA event
My dad is very passionate bowler. He has been bowling semi-seriously for as long as I can remember. Leagues, amateur tournaments, etc. He now owns the Chicagoland ABT (Amateur Bowlers' Tour). Today I got a call from my dad.
Brag: Dad qualified and bowled in his first PBA event. (http://pba.com/livescoring/LiveScoring.aspx - Michael Fagan, Roselle, IL) Beat: He finished 86th out of 88 (and 88th pulled out voluntarily) Variance: My cell battery was low and he had to eat so we didn't talk for too long. |

Re: BBV: Dad bowls in first PBA event
My Dad was a professional bowler in the late 60's... had a couple big cashes (although not in tour events). One paid for his mother's house.
He quit when he realized it was a bad life to live. He bowled very infrequently for the next 30 years and has gotten back into it. He averages 205 at 61, which is decently impressive (although there are some 60+ year olds who average 215+). |

Instead of spending all his time bowling, perhaps your father should've taught you how to post interesting things in the Internet.
