i don't see myself beating much, but that seems like an easy bet for villian no matter their holding.

Oh, the wonders of position. I think I slow down on the turn here to keep the pot manageable, as you really don't know where you stand + OOP. Half pot the turn, fold to a sizeable raise. C/C or C/F the river, depending on what it is and the bet size.

Given that he just called the turn here, I probably call the river and hope to see JJ-99 in his hand range often enough.

I'll try some more 1/3 pot bluffs on river I usually bet close to the pot on the end when I bluff in this spot I will try betting less if good players are laying down big overpairs for 1/3 pot after this action.

Once your turn bet was called, you were beat. Its not someone chasing a draw or a couple over cards.

I like the turn bet, river fold.
