On an average table I raise A8s+, A9o+, KTs+, QTs+, JTs, 66+
UTG.

If the game is pretty agressive, I'll fold the bottom spectrum of the hands.

If the game is really loose I'll limp the bottom spectrum of my hands.

If the game is very loose passive, ill limp some more hands too.

I'd generally raise them all except A7s and QTs which I'd fold. If I was at a particularly loose passive table I might limp the last two. If I was at a particularly tight table where only the blinds were calling, I'd raise them all and more.

I raise 77+, and if the table is right 55+, but I'm folding A8s - is that wierd? I just think the pockets play better postflop from that position. Should I reconsider?

Check out This thread. Look in the Slightly Improved v 2.1 post a bit down. Basically all the hands u mention are raisable, but A7s and QTs (the chart recomend folding) are pretty weak and I often fold them. One rule is to never open limp in 6max. Honestly I do, when I'm in a 'no fold or raise pf' table. Then I happily limp QTs and A7s. Sssssh, don't tell anyone.
