why folding to the 4?
are you afraid of someone who made his gutshot straight or afraif of the 74o-call-a-raise-out-of-the-blind-guy?

I think I would easy check/call the river. maybe even bet/ call raise.

You can't fold this man! You have 2nd pair in a blindbattle and he hasn't shown any strength so far.

*Grunch*

Maybe I'm a calldown monkey but I c/c that river. Sure, a 6 and a spade just got there, but the BB will bet SO MANY HANDS when checked to here. You may have induced a bluff.

For discussion: is the b/f line better than c/c? I am looking for more opportunities to introduce this into my river play. Is this one?

I am not sure whats the best play, but check/fold on the river is by far the worst.
you have about no hands from villian but you cant fold to one bet after he has shown no aggression at all and only bets out after YOU shown weaknes

Check-call is definitely a better line than bet-fold. You will often make a bet that you otherwise wouldn't pick up and against a tricky player you never fold the best hand.
