Default Chopping Up a Win: My Friend Scores ~10k

So I register for today's Stars $162, the FullTilt $163, and the UB $109 40k. I'm not really in the mood for poker and decide to watch the Cal/USC game instead, so I change my mind 20 min. before 5. I unregister from Stars and Full Tilt, but registration is closed on UB for the 40k. I get my good buddy to play for me, and I really don't expect him to win anything, but we make an agreement to split everything he makes over the entry fee 50/50. Obviously he wins the whole thing for $10400. He played for over 6 hours.

Of course I'm going to give him @ least his 50%, but would you give him more? His BR is currently around $2k.

How would you chop the $10400 w/ him?

You told him 50/50, so do it.

Keep it all FTW?

You can easily buy a friend for less than $5,200.

Verbal agreement's bindin' for as long as you stated it.

He did good, it gives him a leg up. 'grats to him, ship him his share...

Red sash wouldn't do otherwise, man.

50/50 sounds good unless 5K is like a couple big blinds for you

take 4200 give him 6200.

its not required, its just a friendly bonus. i think keeping half is just too greedy in this kind of one off thing.

just my two cents, you have every right to half.

I like this. You obviously don't like the idea of taking half despite that being what you agreed to, so this sounds fair.

Its situational....50/50 is fine. If you want to give more, then give more.
