Not 'round these parts. I like it. Good read on Button has to be very important here.
Bah, Rich, you didn't play it aggro enough on subsequent streets. |

Why does everyone like this play? Even if you succeed, you only isolate with pot odds, but generally as a significant dog. There is the possibility that the first limper or the flat caller is trapping.

Elaborate a little more on your thinking please, I mean we're like 2-1 against a range of 60% for CO, and we're getting a shade over 2-1 (425 to win 1300)
I don't like it, the iso is razor thin even assuming we get it heads up every single time. FPS imo. |

Yes, it is FPS. The difference is, you stand a very legitimate chance of busting in this hand, so your reads here have to be sick good.
Otherwise, it's so spewy you'll be dinging chips off a passing cocktail waitress. Edit: I'd like it more without a Button flatcall, however. |

[/ QUOTE ] no read on the button or UTG +1. but i do know UTG is limping with any two, and CO is pushing with any two. i made this play because i felt i could get it heads up 90% of the time and was a tad less than 40/60 against any two from the CO with great pot odds. although i have not seen button play much, i am almost certain that he would re-raise a hand in this spot that he would plan on calling such a large push with. although the play might be razor thin and -EV in the short-term, i felt the extra 1300 in chips and metagame reasons in the longterm would outweight this. (i'd be chip leader at the table by just under 2000) if you do not like this play, mangle with the chip stacks, blinds, table dynmaics, or your cards where this play would be +EV in your eyes. (or it could not ever become +EV) |
