O.k. I don't frequent Greektown that often, but I have started going a little more lately because I have been playing a little more NL. So, yesterday I am sitting down at the 1/2 200 max NL game, and a guy straddles for 5. I ask, "Isn't a straddle 2x the big?" The table answers that no, at Greektown, you can straddle for whatever you want. 2 dealers and a floor confirm the rule, which they say has been in place for about a month.
2 Questions: 1) Does any other poker room on the planet earth have that same rule? 2) How ridiculous do you think this rule is? rob b |

Why are you complaining that the villain is willing to straddle away his money? You should welcome this into the game, he is inducing action for you.

Anyway the answer to your question is that the player can stradle any amount in front of him. They changed the rule at the casino and i was at a table where the question came up.
The rule is any amount they want |

"I would welcome any player who would straddle all of their chips. This is called raising all-in blind."
But you will have to fold most of the time and you will lose money when it is your blind. -Michael |
