100NL "2nd pair"

Villian is pretty tight (15/8/2) and very straight foreward from what i have seen. I have been playing abc poker as well because 3 players where super loose/pasive at this table.
I´m pretty sure he was either traping or drawing there since the 9 is unlikely to give him a pair. So i thought i would let him tell me the strength of his hand on the turn.
The small bet looked like he was trying to price in a draw - should i c/r ai there or just bet the turn ?
I thought i´d call and get a free showdown on any non [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] river ... but that felt kinda weak [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

I probably play the same way you did. I'm not sure what to make of his turn bet. It could mean a lot of things ranging from a monster, to small pair, to steal the pot cheap.

Check raising the turn is bad unless you have a read.

yea thought so too. Against an more aggresive or passive opponent it´s hard to just call there, but against mr. straight foreward it looked like a good way to see a showdown.
