Cards Colored with Yellow Marker?
I was playing in one of the tournaments at Fort McDowell casino in Fountain Hills AZ and noticed that some of the cards, maybe all of them, looked like the middle part of the card had been filled in with a yellow Hi-Lighter. They were using jumbo index cards (like blackjack) so I wonder if that had something to do with it.
Is this a common practice? What's the point? |

Re: Cards Colored with Yellow Marker?
They were using a card there last year that is just like you describe. Last time I was there, one of my dealer friends told me they were getting a lot of complaints about the "small, little, hard to read" cards and were going back to the old ones. So then I guess it's back to "old people" cards.

Google Cobalt sunglasses. [/ QUOTE ] Nope, they are not marked cards, the yellow mark is on the suit side, not the table side. |

Re: Cards Colored with Yellow Marker?
Yes these are not marked cards, they just seem to have the center portion of the card completely colored in with what looks like a yellow hi-lighter.
I hate the jumbo index old people cards too! |

Re: Cards Colored with Yellow Marker?
I've seen this at a couple casino's too. the cards i saw looked like the colored part was done by the manufacturer. KEM or whoever. the yellow is in the square part with the hearts. no clue why it's done. my guess is just so that they are "cool casino cards" that the general public can't get easily.
apparently i dont know how to add a picture. the picture is on the front page of www.kem.com any tips on posting pictures? |

My mother had a bridge set like that. I don't think I've seen it at a poker table.
