Turned Two Pair on a Beeeeautiful Board
2/5 live. one of my first couple hands. 2 limpers(1st limper about $400, second limper--main villain $300ish)to me in the CO i call with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]($400behind), sb completes, bb checks(both effectively $400).
Flop($25): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] checks to me, i bet $20, only the second limper calls. she is sort of tight compared to the rest of the table and is complaining about running bad. take that how you will. Turn($65): 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] she checks, i... i know what i did, but i think something else might be better. what do you think i should do? |

Re: Turned Two Pair on a Beeeeautiful Board
okay, so say i bet here. if someone comes over the top and i put them on a straight, don't i need to be able to fold? i mean, even if i'm good here a portion of the time when i bet and someone makes a substantial raise, i need to be able to fold so it's incorrect for gutters to call my flop bets, no? am i way off here? in the actual hand i did bet. i was thinking, though, that for a gutshot to correctly call on the flop i have to pay it off when it hits. if i don't pay it off they aren't getting near the implied odds to profitably call the flop and therefore they are making a bigger mistake by calling. am i way off base?

Re: Turned Two Pair on a Beeeeautiful Board
"she is tight"
with this board i doubt she calls another bet with A 7-10 on turn. so check and call/raise small or bet river. |

Re: Turned Two Pair on a Beeeeautiful Board
so i bet $60, and she shoves for about $220 more to me.
Aces, even hands like AQ or AK are in her pf range as she would not necessarily raise with them, but she would have bet them on the flop. so now i must make a decision. 'sup? |

Re: Turned Two Pair on a Beeeeautiful Board
As played, easy fold.
I'd defenately check the turn though. She is likely not investing much more w/ an inferior hand and checking: a) gives you a free 4-outer if behind (well, maybe it's like 3 outs on average) b) shows weakness which can make her call a river VB or induce a river bluff from her. |
