Default PLO8 Generic Hand Question

How do you typically handle this situation?

Dealt: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in LP, pot raise after several call, and only one EP player calls the raise.

Flop is: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

EP checks, you bet about 3/4 the pot, and they max check-raise it back to you.

Even if you think this player is a tricky player who could be totally bluffing, or perhaps raising with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]xx, can you ever call this down? People rarely outright bluff in PLO8 that I've seen, but I worry that I'm being outplayed in these situations many times.

Overall, I feel like unless you have a *great* reason to call, you're better off folding here every time, but I wanted others' opinions.

A lot of times you have the best hand in this spot, but you're a dog to the hand that checkraised you.

Fold.

The trickier your opponent, the more you should check there. With 2 high cards on the flop, a savvy opponent will know that your likely hands either missed (A2xx), or will be hard pressed to call a big bet (AAxx). This is particularly true since you don’t have the Ad and its very likely that he has an Ace.

As played you need a very strong read to call there.

I forget stack sizes and I can't remember if I planned on calling or folding if you pushed back at me. About half of my check-raise was the result of steaming and the other 1/2 was a calculated risk that I felt you seemed solid enough a player to fold a whiffed low or weak AAxx.
