PartyPoker $11 Regular Tournament, Big Blind is t400 (4 handed) Converter on pregopoker.com
CO (t5819) Button (t5694) SB (t4567) Hero (t3920) Preflop: Hero is in BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] CO folds, Button calls t400, SB folds, Hero checks Flop: (t1000) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets t400,Hero??? Yay for hero! I'm posting this hand to see how others play this. Villain is a bit of LAG but I think I loose him with an all-in. Basically what's my goal here? maximize or take it down? Do I just go all-in, bet, check raise all-in, check raise? I think a check raise all-in is best, but what if he checks behind and another spade comes? Would you play this differently with As-Xs? Any insight would be appreciated. |

I'd be betting out here. Another spade kills your action and could also lose you the hand, but I'm really betting out for value here more than protecting my hand. Check/raising shows a ton of strength. I'd bet flop for t700 here.

Ok thanks, that makes sense. I think I tend to get to tricky in these situations.
If villain calls your flop bet and the turn is a blank, do you just push? What if the turn is a spade? |
