Default AC Room Rates

I've seen info on the internet regarding Vegas room rates available when a minimum amount of time is spent in the casino's poker room. I haven't been able to find any info on Atlantic City poker room rates. Also called Foxwoods and was told that there is no set rate. The Floor will make a decision when you are playing.

Does anyone have info or experience on poker room rates in AC or Foxwoods. Looking for a one to two night stay around the holidays.

Intend to play between 3/6 and 10/20 limit HE. Maybe a NL tournament and some 1/2.

Thanks.

The Tropicana in AC is 59/89/99 Sun-Thurs/Fri/Sat, though you can't get a Friday or Saturday reservation if you haven't played there in the past year.

I know Borgata, Taj, Hilton, and Tropicana have poker room rates.

Borgata and Taj require an indefinite amount of fairly high limit play to get the rate.

Tropicana doesn't care about the limit, but requires you to have played an average of at least 4 hours per day in their room in the past.

Hilton doesn't have a specific play requirement, but they only have weekday rates and you probably need to at least have a player's card.

Also, tournaments generally do not count toward play requirements.

I hadnt played there in a few months, but Thursday I played for 3 hours and saturday I played for 7.

I'm more pissed that i'm not getting a discount room after having a lousy run of cards on saturday and ended up losing what I could have used to just buy the damn room in the first place.

Would they not give you the poker rate for just the weekend? You shouldn't need established play for the weekdays.

I have a feeling my problem is that I was requesting a room on the 28th. which i'm sure is a busier time and they're upping their requirements for that week.

If you talk to Melanie, she'll tell you why she can't give you a room. I'm guessing it's because they're out or nearly out of poker rate rooms that week. I got a room there from the 26th - 30th, and haven't played there in a year, which apparently vanishes you from their computer. But, I called a month ago.

Well I booked a room at the full price. I talked to the other lady and she didnt give me a reason why I didnt qualify but they can change the rate I paid if I do get my hours up.

I'm not sure i'm going to be down there again this month. Oh well.
