Pre-flop: (7 players) degenrat is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">degenrat raises to $1</font>, UTG+1 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds.

Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($2.35, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">degenrat bets $2</font>, MP1 calls.

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($6.35, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">degenrat bets $5</font>, MP1 calls.

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($16.35, 2 players)

Now my thought process. The entire hand i put him on a middle pair. i thought if he hit a set he would raise the turn. i really wanted to stick with my read and bet it but i thought on it for a while. thoughts opinions?

4 card straight, 3 to a flush.....he's playing this very passively if he's got you, but you never know with these guys. I think check/call to induce weaker hands to bet or to keep the showdown as cheap as possible if he's ahead. You could also try a blocking bet with the intention of folding to a raise.
