Player is disconnected. 240 seconds added??? At Stars.
At the 0.50/1.00 NL tables at Stars, when a player disconnects, the software gives him 240 seconds to reconnect.
It's the first time I notice this and it seems a litle exagerated. They make everybody wait 4 minutes? |

It's rare, but it's happened against me a few times before.

Pot size, the larger the pot, the more seconds will be allowed for the user to re-connect. 2. On a few occasions, when a number of pokerstars players have been disconnected simultaneously they will add a large number of seconds for players to reconnect. |

So suppose a player is at the final table of a multi-table event, disconnects, and is down to 30 seconds per action, then reconnects. If he disconnects again, he'll start with 240 seconds for his next action. " geez.. 4 min wait, he connects, then he's disconnected again, another 4 min wait, repeat ad nauseum this can drag out a final table for HOURS!!! |

The larger the pot (in terms of big blinds), the more time is allowed for a disconnected player to return. This is to compensate for the lack of all-in disconnect protection in these games. If 4 minutes were granted, then this must have been a pretty hefty relative pot -- 4 minutes is the max that will be granted. Jester |
