Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($130, 3 players) BB checks, UTG+1 checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $99</font>, BB calls, UTG+1 folds. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($328, 2 players) BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $225</font>, BB calls. River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($778, 2 players) <font color="#cc0000">BB bets $444</font> hero....? what do you think he has? I think he was something like 35/9 over 35 hands, so the sample probably isn't significant. and did i play this obscenely ? i actually joined this table beacuse i saw some guy with like 45/20 stats ish (my friend tells me he was a bracelet winner, but wtf he minraised a lot, so i thought he was a fish)

This is probably a medium nine to high nine (89 - A9). I don't think BB flat calls a minraise in the BB with any high PP and at best maybeee AK (nice vb if so). Look at the bet size as a clue, and it's an easy fold on the river if he hasn't gotten out of line. Anyway, there's nothing you are clearly beating.

I think you can consider checking back on the flop here, as it is a WA/WB spot, and you can disguise your hand better to get paid off later on. If you are ahead, you are likely pretty safe.
Having bet the flop (not terrible by any means), I really think you ought to check back the turn. Then you can call a river bet or bet if checked to. As played, you have to determine if the villain is likely to play missed diamonds this way. That is too opponent specific for anyone to advise you about calling/folding river.

why wouldnt BB checkraise the turn with a nine? there is a diamond draw, and a possible straight draw, a very likely hand in this case is 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] j [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], or j [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] for bb.. I would call the river bet.. there is imo two hands I would play like this if I were BB and not on a bluff. k9 and 99 (probably rerais with nines), still I would probably have reraised with both on the turn, to get maximum.. (if the bidder is on a draw and miss he would fold the river anyway)

why does nobody consider BB has a busted draw? i think this is closer t han people think.. but he defenitely does have a 9 here sometimes
