Default That White Stuff On Your Tongue

First off, I heard this was plaque. Is that true?

Second, I've always had an excessive amount of it on my tongue. I brush my teeth twice a day just about every day. I brush my tongue as well. But it just doesn't come off. I've brushed my tongue to the point of making it bleed. I've tried scrapping the stuff off with my finger nail. Nothing works. Even when I manage to get a lot of it off, there's still more than what seems to be on most people's tongue. And in any case that I get a significant amount of it off, it comes back in a few hours.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ways to get rid of it?

How is this not something you've asked your dentist at some point over the years?

When I said I heard it was plaque, that was from a friend who did ask a dentist. And, if I recall correctly, that dentist just said brush your tongue. That hasn't worked for me...

it's called a tongue scraper. You can get it at any drug store. Use it before you brush.

It could be oral thrush. Check with your dentist/doctor.

uh, ask your dentist....like live and in person, not have your friend do it for you.

Also, sounds like youve got OCD or something, or like that disease where you cant stop pulling out your own hair or picking at your skin...brushing your tongue till it bleeds? get help dude
