Is this slowplay OK?
$3 MTT Blinds 30/60
I have been at the table for about 30 hands of which I've only played a couple. Villain is loose, over-aggressive and thus far lucky. UTG folds. Villain(t4.1k) is UTG+1 calls t60. All fold to Hero on the button with t1.4k. Hero makes it t240 to go. Folds to villain who calls making the pot t570. Flop Ah Qc 7d. Villain checks. I check behind (BTW I hardly ever slowplay) reasoning that I'm almost definitely ahead and villain will probably fold if I bet here. I think that villain will not be able to resist taking a shot at the pot on the turn. Turn 8d. Villain bets t600 making the pot t1170. I push with my remaining t1170 and villain calls. Any comments appreciated and thanks in advance. |

Re: Is this slowplay OK?
If you c bet often, you should stay consistent and throw out a bet on this flop, no matter how much of a monster you have. To a thinking player, your check looks way more suspicious than a bet would be.
