Default Would a datamining/stat prog that tracked action timing be pointless?

That's the question, what do you think?

Yup, pointless. Net latency would make measuring reaction times silly. You'd never know if the player was deliberately stalling or if he had a connection problem.

When I 8 to 12 table...sometimes it's just natural to have 2 big hands at the same time and be a little slower (than I would like and my opponets would like)

Also you never know when your opponet might run to the bathroom real quick, or when his dog jumps on his lap and he throws him outside real quick.

SO yeah, timing tells "rarely" can be helpful imo.

You'd also not know if YOU were experiencing latency at the time. However, over long periods, it might help - like tens or hundreds of thousands of hands...

It would be useful. Latency would be a noisy factor but over a large sample you could detect if someone had significant timing tells.
